Work | The BLOCs

The BLOCs are a series of pop-up installations designed to initiate the transformation underutilized shopping mall in downtown Los Angeles into its new identity, as the BLOC. One of the installations is seen here in use during the CicLAvia festival.

.

.

The BLOCs are a set of three identical mirrored cubes which are fully mobile and can be transported on a flat-bed truck. Each cube, when it arrives at its destination opens up in a different way to perform a different function.

The 'Touch' BLOC opens up fully to create a pop-up retail experience that the public can inhabit.
